What you need to do:

  • Provide consistently professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests at all banquet events.
  • Assist guests with beverage and food menu selections, offering knowledgeable and helpful recommendations.
  • Serve food and beverages for assigned banquet meetings, adhering to service standards.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Maintain awareness of beverage lists and promotional offerings.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and outlet policies and procedures when handling food and beverages.
  • Complete other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall guest experience.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Previous front-of-house customer service experience required.
  • Valid Serving It Right certification is mandatory.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in both official languages (English and French) is a key advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible, reliable, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs.
  • A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnights.
  • Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
    • Ability to stand and walk for long periods during shifts.
    • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 30lbs regularly.
    • Frequent kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
    • Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
    • Ability to carry multiple plates (three or more) at a time.

 

Additional Information

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Shift: must be available for day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. Part-time or Full-time.
