The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and guest-focused Lead Bartender / Shift Supervisor to join our team at the Key-oh
This is more than a bartending position. You will help lead the guest experience, support entertainment and special events, supervise servers during assigned shifts, and ensure smooth pub operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests want to return.
We understand great candidates don't always live in Burns Lake. For the right person, we are open to discussing flexible scheduling arrangements, including compressed work weeks and temporary accommodations during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities
– Deliver exceptional guest service and create a positive, memorable experience for every guest
– Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and Serving It Right standards
– Take food and beverage orders and accurately process transactions through the POS system
– Promote food, beverages, entertainment, promotions, and special events
– Provide table service throughout the pub as required
– Support and participate in entertainment activities, including live music, karaoke, themed – nights, and special events
– Act as Shift Supervisor for servers and support staff during assigned shifts
– Coordinate floor operations and help ensure efficient, timely service
– Monitor service standards and support team performance
– Assist with training and mentoring new team members
– Complete opening and closing procedures
– Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
– Monitor inventory levels, change kegs, and communicate replenishment needs
– Participate in inventory counts and cash reconciliation procedures
– Follow all liquor regulations, food safety requirements, and company policies
– Report guest concerns, incidents, hazards, and operational issues to management
What We’re Looking For
– Minimum 2 years of bartending or food and beverage service experience
– Previous experience in a pub, restaurant, lounge, or hospitality environment preferred
– Previous supervisory, shift lead, or team leadership experience preferred
– Serving It Right Certification
– Food Safe Level 1 Certification is an asset
– Strong customer service, communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
– Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
– Knowledge of liquor regulations and responsible alcohol service practices
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
– Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
