RVYC is currently seeking organized, detail-oriented professionals to join our team as Full-time or Part-time Server Assistant.

Position Summary

The Server Assistant supports dining room operations by maintaining clean, organized tables and assisting service staff to ensure efficient and seamless service. This role focuses on clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting service flow so that members and guests experience a comfortable and welcoming dining environment.

Server Assistants work closely with Servers and Supervisors to maintain dining room standards and ensure tables are prepared quickly and accurately throughout service.

Key Responsibilities

Table Maintenance

  • Clear tables promptly and efficiently during and after member dining.
  • Reset tables according to club standards, ensuring proper placement of cutlery, glassware, and linens.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas throughout service.

Service Support

  • Assist servers by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables.
  • Run food or assist with food delivery when needed to support service flow.
  • Refill water glasses and assist with basic guest needs when appropriate.

Service Station Maintenance

  • Keep service stations stocked with cutlery, napkins, glassware, and other supplies.
  • Assist with polishing glassware and cutlery as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of service stations and support areas.

Dining Room Readiness

  • Assist with dining room setup before service and breakdown after service.
  • Ensure tables and dining areas remain presentable and ready for incoming guests.

Team Support

  • Work collaboratively with servers, supervisors, and kitchen staff.
  • Assist with dining room setup and service support during club events and busy service periods.

Professional Conduct

  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Follow club service standards and workplace policies.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality experience is an asset but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 30 lbs.
